School Transportation Supervisors of New Jersey is an association founded in 1968 to promulgate and establish the highest standard of ethics in transportation methods and practices for all schools.
We are dedicated to the safety of all children by providing a secure and effective transportation service. STS is recognized by state and federal agencies, as well as other professional organizations as a leader of school transportation safety in New Jersey . NJSTS actively conducts and sponsors research concerning school transportation and also promotes and encourages the physical, economic, and social welfare of its members.
In a rapid, almost daily changing field, it is critical to be kept informed. NJSTS provides a network of interaction between industry professionals and is a valuable source of information and support. We provide the opportunity for professional growth by sponsoring driver seminars, supervisor workshops, and a three-day conference held annually in Atlantic City that highlights current trends in the industry.
The association is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of nine representatives, three from each region in New Jersey (North, Central, and South). There are also offices of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Past President. All positions on the board are elected offices, and there are several standing committees in charge of developing yearly programs.
